Vertically automated IG assembly with Edgetech's Super Spacer® combines vertical European automation techniques, including sealant gunning robots, with conventional horizontal spacer application.
A high-speed servo-track system, and rapid-cycle tilt-down table from Willian Design provides the time required for quality spacer application (20-30 seconds). Within an overall cycle time of 35-45 seconds muntin grid insertion can also be easily carries out.
This vertical assembly line is adaptable to various automated sealant gunning equipment, with only three operators required to produce 600 plus dual-seal IG units per shift.
